- Upgrade the Rusty Pickaxe to Copper at Howling Hammer.
- Bring food or enough energy for mining.
- Plan an Iron upgrade if you need actual crystal drops rather than entry alone.
Exact route
Step by step
- 1
Find the boulder-sealed entrance in Moonlit Pines.
- 2
Break the entrance boulder with a Copper Pickaxe.
- 3
Return with an Iron Pickaxe to break the crystal nodes.
- 4
Collect ten Rose Quartz for Building a Mana Extractor or six for Cosmic Preparation when those quests are active.
When it does not work
Common blockers
Copper opened the cave but the crystals will not break.
This is expected: the entrance requires Copper, while the crystal nodes require Iron.
Rose Quartz is not counting for my quest.
Confirm the correct quest is active, the item reached your inventory, and the requested total is complete before returning to the NPC.
