Moonlight Peaks Main Story Walkthrough

āš ļø This walkthrough follows the confirmed quest flow from multiple playthroughs (60+ hours). Minor variations may occur based on choices and relationship progress.

Prologue: Welcome to Moonlight Peaks

You are the child of Dracula. After a disagreement with your father, you run away to Moonlight Peaks to reclaim the old family homestead. Your goal: prove yourself to the locals — and eventually to Dad.

First Night

  • Create your character (name yourself, your farm, and your Hellkitten)
  • Arrive at the dilapidated farm via train
  • Sleep in your coffin (you wake at 18:00 / 6 PM each night)
  • Meet Orlock: a rude vampire passed out near your home. He has a "drinking problem" and asks you to make him red wine

First Quest: Blood Wine for Orlock

  1. Orlock gives you blood grape seeds — these are your first crop
  2. Meet Uncle Viktor (bat form) in the crypt on your land. He teaches farming basics
  3. You receive all tools: Shovel, Watering Can, Axe, Pickaxe, Broken Wand
  4. Plant blood grapes, water them nightly, harvest when ready
  5. Craft a Keg (early blueprint)
  6. Process blood grapes → wine (takes longer but worth more) or juice (quick)
  7. Give wine to Orlock

Second Quest: Register at Town Hall

  1. Visit Mayor Brook at Town Hall (not the friendliest welcome)
  2. You're instructed to meet everyone in town

Chapter 1: Gaining Trust

Early Exploration

  • Explore the map: your farm, the town, and three surrounding areas (beach, forest, marsh)
  • More areas unlock later: Misty Shores, Underground Caves, Castle area
  • Collect Vempsters (100 bat-hamster hybrids hidden everywhere) and Soul Blobs (100 skulls with funny death descriptions)

Key Early NPCs to Meet

  • Luna — witch, sells seeds and animals, later becomes your magic teacher
  • Sabrina — witch, runs Web of Wonders shop (spells, Alter Ego Elixir)
  • Noel — witch, challenges you to fishing contest (250G bet, catch 3 different fish)
  • Fiona Webb — witch
  • Ridge Logan — werewolf, sells barn
  • Mina — vampire, eventually opens tea shop with cookbooks
  • Death — Grim Reaper, Hawaiian shirt, found at Misty Shores graveyard

Noel's Fishing Contest

  • Win by catching 3 different fish before Noel
  • Earns you the Fishing Rod permanently + 250G if you win

Chapter 2: Magic Awakens

Unlocking Morphing (Hellkitten Form)

Complete this event chain (exact order may vary):

  1. A Bridge Too Far — repair bridge to Misty Shores
  2. Tension in the Crest Garden
  3. A Croak and a Crest
  4. The Dinner Party

After the Dinner Party, you can morph into your Hellkitten (left shoulder → magic wheel). Benefits: faster movement, make dirt patches with Y (less energy).

Getting Your Wand Fixed

  1. After the Dinner Party, receive a letter from Luna
  2. Visit Luna — she gives you magical seeds and sends you to Sabrina
  3. Noel patches your Broken Wand (with duct tape!)
  4. Your first spell: Aquaflux (self-pouring watering can)

Spell System

  • 12 spells total to learn throughout the game
  • Start with 3 mana points (stars below energy bar)
  • Mana partially regenerates each night (not fully)
  • Cast spells by drawing shape patterns in a circle with D-Pad
  • Spells unlock gradually — some through quests, others purchasable from Sabrina
  • Confirmed spells: Aquaflux (watering), Harvest spell, Ethereal Axe/Pickaxe, Magical Levitation

Chapter 3: Building Your Life

Money & Crafting

  • Blood grapes → wine via Keg = your primary early income
  • Process crops rather than selling raw — always worth more
  • Sell everything through Chester (the living shipping bin)
  • Universal storage in your house: infinite capacity, feeds all crafting stations automatically
  • Unlock blueprints for makers: Keg, Refiner, Furnace, Herb Gardens, Beehive, Drying Rack, Jam Maker, Mana Extractor

Death & Soul Blobs

  • Unlock Misty Shores via "A Bridge Too Far"
  • Meet Death at the graveyard — he gives you the Bugnet
  • Catch Soul Blobs: 100 total, each with a unique death description
  • At 10-20 collected: receive Antique Clock — extends night duration to 25 min (default 15, can shorten to 10)

Animals

  • Buy Barn from Ridge (gold + materials)
  • Purchase animals from Luna: Cheeken (pink chicks), Cowcula (flying cow), Draculamb
  • Animals provide milk, wool, fertilizer (increases crop quality)

Chapter 4: Romance & Relationships

Dating Mechanics

  • 24 romanceable characters across 7 families
  • Build friendship by: daily talking, gifting, playing Nokturna
  • Gift history tracks last 8 items given to each character — see what they liked/disliked
  • At sufficient hearts, trigger Heart Events and go on dates
  • Date mini-games: flower bouquet matching, marshmallow roasting
  • Yes, you can date Death — he likes his marshmallows well-roasted
  • Can date multiple characters simultaneously
  • Reject too many date invitations → breakup, then forgiveness after a few days
  • Eventually marry one person, can convert spouse into a vampire

Lovage Festival (Valentine's Day)

  • 2-day romantic event
  • Arrange flower bouquets, buy unique furniture
  • Bring up to 3 dishes for shared meal
  • Send 3 presents via Lemmy (Cupid-like host)

Mid-Game: Museum & Progression

  • Museum unlocks around hour 20 — don't sell rare items before then
  • New characters continue appearing throughout the game
  • At 60 hours, there was still one locked area and one inaccessible building
  • ~80 hours estimated for 100% completion

Key Tips

  • Sunrise has NO penalty — you just sparkle and teleport home (no gold/energy loss)
  • Festivals (5 per year) are underwhelming — don't build excessive anticipation
  • Nokturna is the deepest side activity — play against most NPCs
  • Side activities: floral arrangements, pottery, embroidery (fun but limited depth)
  • Carpenter can restyle your house/barn; clothing shop for outfits
  • Spells get faster with muscle memory — don't get discouraged by the drawing minigame
