Moonlight Peaks Museum Guide — Unlock, Invites & Rewards

Quick answer: the Museum is a story and relationship unlock tied to Jada, not a building available on the first nights. Continue town and family quests until Jada, Persephone, and Winston move into the house on the pier, then advance Jada's museum questline. The route starts with four family artifacts and later asks you to clear and decorate Museum Park and hand out five opening invites.

One published playthrough reached this sequence around the start of Fall in Year 1. That is an example, not a guaranteed calendar unlock: quest order, relationship progress, and exploration can change the timing.

How to Unlock the Museum

The documented route has two stages.

1. Help Jada build the first exhibition

The Curating the Museum objectives ask you to collect four family artifacts. The supporting tasks are:

  1. bring Red Wine to Orlock;
  2. bring Nightshade to Fiona;
  3. bring 3 Wolfsbane to Saga;
  4. defeat Dragan at Nokturna;
  5. return the four family artifacts to Jada;
  6. attend the scooter exhibition on the following night.

The quest journal is the safest authority if one step appears in a different order in your save.

2. Prepare the permanent Museum

Jada later finds the abandoned building east of Town Hall. Follow her objectives to:

  1. visit her at the Museum;
  2. clear Museum Park;
  3. report back to Jada;
  4. decorate Museum Park;
  5. report that decorating is complete;
  6. hand out five invites for the opening.

If the Museum quest has not started, keep advancing active town and family quests and check Jada's dialogue after she moves to the pier. A reviewer's “about 20 hours” unlock is not a deadline and does not prove that a later save is bugged.

How to Give the Five Museum Invites

The journal objective is to hand out five opening invites. Talk to residents while that objective is active and use the quest-specific invitation option. Bonus Action notes that most invitees saying no is intentional, so rejection does not mean you picked the wrong resident or failed the quest.

The published quest table then shows the invitation step being cancelled as the sequence advances. Do not restart the night just because the remaining counter disappears after the story moves on.

Where to Donate Museum Items

Do not take donations to Jada or the front desk. Enter the correct collection room through the portal in the main hall, then interact with the exclamation-mark sign beside that collection.

Museum room Collections inside
Supernatural Room Witch, Vampire, Seer, Werewolf, Mermaid
Deity Room Deity
Farming Room Farming
Aquarium Fish / Aquarium
Critter Room Insect / Critter

Most listed donations need one regular-quality item. The important exception is the Farming collection, which explicitly asks for Perfect quality on some crops and growables. Check the collection sign before selling a high-quality harvest.

For the two large creature collections, use the 22-fish working checklist and 95-name Critter checklist.

Museum Progress Rewards

Check the sign in the Museum lobby for total completion. Jada delivers milestone rewards after you leave a collection room.

The first four milestone thresholds align across the two release-week Museum sources. Neoseeker lists an additional recipe at 10%:

Overall progress Published reward
5% Vampsters Playing Poker painting
10% Firefly Sanctuary recipe; Neoseeker also lists a Firefly Pollinator recipe
15% 32 Basic Fertilizer
20% 2 Rapid Reel Potions

Neoseeker's in-progress table additionally lists:

Overall progress Working-list reward
30% Animal Feeder Temple and Pillow Cat House
40% 5 Mana Essence
50% Arcane Flame
60% Seed Sequencer recipe
70% 3 Mana Potions
80% Story scene
90% 16 Museum Relic Replica decorations
100% One Collection to Rule Them All achievement

Treat the later table as provisional because the source labels its guide in progress. The missing rows are not proof that the current game has no reward at those percentages.

How to Get the Twilight Catacombs Key

Bonus Action's walkthrough and the Moonlight Peaks community Wiki both report that 25% total Museum completion gives you the key for the locked cellar door near Viktor's crypt, opening the Twilight Catacombs. Neoseeker's current reward table leaves 25% blank, so the reward table is incomplete at that threshold even though two other sources agree on the key.

If the key does not arrive immediately, enter and leave a collection room, check for Jada's reward scene, and verify the lobby sign has reached 25%. The next quest is documented as A Key to the Deep, which asks you to show the key to Viktor and explore the Catacombs.

Donation Tips

  1. Donate before selling: collection signs accept normal-quality items unless a specific quality is shown.
  2. Save Perfect crops for the Farming room rather than assuming a regular harvest will count.
  3. Dig glowing spiral spots; several one-time supernatural artifacts come from buried finds.
  4. Recheck mining areas after the Museum unlock because additional artifact finds become available during progression.
  5. Work on fish, Critters, crops, and supernatural items together; total percentage matters for milestone rewards.
