Gameplay-sourced Moonlight Peaks romance guide: cast-size discrepancy, gifts, heart events, dating activities, invitations, breakups, marriage limits, and tracking preferences.

Moonlight Peaks Romance & Relationships Guide
Moonlight Peaks has a large supernatural relationship cast across vampires, witches, werewolves, seers, mermaids, humans, and other residents.
Two long-form reviews use different numbers: one calls the game’s cast 23 dateables, while another says 24 romanceable characters. Official launch coverage describes “over two dozen” characters. Until an official roster explains the counting rule, this guide will not force the discrepancy into a false single number.

Building Relationships
Confirmed relationship activities include:
- talking to residents;
- giving gifts;
- triggering character events;
- playing Nokturna with residents who enjoy it;
- hugging and kissing after reaching the appropriate relationship stage;
- going on dates.
Relationship progress was described as reasonably quick in a 60-hour playthrough, making it possible to become close with several residents without an extreme daily grind.
Learning Gift Preferences
The game records the last eight items given to each character and whether they liked, loved, or disliked the gift. This makes experimentation practical even without a complete external table.
Foraged flowers worked well as early gifts in preview coverage. Use a verified gift guide for exact preferences, but keep checking the in-game history in case patches or context change a reaction.
See the Verified Gift Guide for the characters currently backed by sourced data.
Heart Events
One full-game reviewer reported receiving a character event for each heart gained, rather than only every two hearts as in many farming sims. The events focus on character stories and town relationships.
The map can show where residents are and where events are available, so check it before searching every building manually.
We have not verified a universal event schedule, fixed time of day, or identical number of events for every resident. Older tables claiming exact 2/4/6/8/10-heart triggers have been removed.
Dating
After becoming close enough, the player can begin romantic relationships and go on dates. Demonstrated date activities include:
- arranging a flower bouquet to match requested colors;
- roasting marshmallows to the partner’s preference.
A 60-hour reviewer dated four or five residents in the same save, so dating is not limited to one person from the start.
Invitations and Breakups
Partners can invite the player to activities. In reviewed gameplay, repeatedly refusing invitations could cause a breakup and make the character stop talking for a few days.
The relationship was not permanently locked: the character eventually forgave the player, allowing the romance to begin again.
Marriage
Marriage is part of the broader romance system, but the 60-hour reviewer had not reached it and could not confirm the ceremony, spouse behavior, or post-marriage benefits.
This guide therefore does not publish proposal items, jealousy penalties, divorce rules, or spouse bonuses without release-build evidence.
Cast Groups
Official and review coverage confirms residents from these groups:
- vampires;
- witches;
- werewolves;
- seers;
- mermaids;
- humans;
- unusual figures such as Death.
New residents continue appearing well into the story. One reviewer still had an inaccessible area and building at 60 hours, so an incomplete early relationship menu is not evidence that every character has already arrived.
Practical Romance Tips
- Talk to residents while following normal quest routes.
- Use flowers as low-cost early experiments.
- Check the last-eight-gifts history before repeating a disliked item.
- Watch the map for character events.
- Accept partner invitations when convenient; repeated refusals can matter.
- Do not rely on unsourced birthday multipliers or fixed event schedules.
