How to Save Your Game

Moonlight Peaks uses a coffin save system — there is no manual save button.

Return to your coffin in your farmhouse, interact with it, and choose "Rest." This saves progress and advances to the next night. You can only save by resting — no save-anywhere. If you pass out from sunlight, you lose progress and pay a Gold penalty.

Pro tip: Upgrade your coffin to unlock "Quick Nap" — a mid-night partial save that doesn't advance time. Invaluable for long quest chains.

Essential Settings to Change

  • Auto-Run: On — saves your Shift key
  • Tool Auto-Switch: On — auto-equips right tool when approaching crops/rocks
  • Show Tool Hitbox: On — displays grid overlay showing exact tile coverage
  • Sunrise Warning Timer: 5 minutes (default is 2)
  • Frame Rate Cap: Match your monitor's refresh rate

Steam Deck

Default controller layout works perfectly. Recommended: 40 FPS cap, 6W TDP, 800 MHz GPU — gives 5+ hours battery. Touchscreen supports direct menu interaction.
