How to Plant Seeds in Moonlight Peaks

Step-by-Step

1. Equip your Shovel — Moonlight Peaks uses a shovel, not a hoe. Open the tool wheel (R on Switch) and select it.
2. Dig the soil — Press Y to dig a patch. Each patch = one seed. You can dig multiple patches in a row.
3. Select seeds — Open your inventory, choose seeds (start with Blood Grape seeds from Orlock).
4. Sow — Stand on the dug patch and press Y to plant.
5. Water — Equip your Watering Can and water each planted patch. Refill at rivers.
6. Wait — Crops grow over several nights. A yellow indicator appears when ready to harvest.

Magical Crops

Later, you unlock magical crops. These cannot be watered with a regular can — you must use the Aquaflux spell. Rain doesn't work either. Keep magical and non-magical crops separated to avoid wasting mana.

Tips

• Don't overplant early — hand-watering is slow before Aquaflux
• Hellkitten form digs dirt with Y, uses less energy than the shovel
• Scarecrow protects crops from ravens — place near fields
• Some crops need daily bugs or fish as food to grow
