How to unlock Death's net, catch 100 Soul Blobs, extend the night with Antique Clocks, and handle the conflicting 10/11/20 first-reward reports.
Moonlight Peaks Soul Blobs Guide β 100 Souls & Clock Rewards
There are 100 Soul Blobs to catch with Death's Net. They matter because Death's Antique Clock rewards unlock longer Night Duration settings. The mechanic is clear; the first reward threshold is not.
The Safe Answer
Published launch guides disagree on whether the first clock is triggered at 10, 11, or 20 Soul Blobs. Keep catching past 20, sleep, and check for Death on the following night. Then open Settings and look at Night Duration.
This route works without relying on a disputed threshold.
How to Unlock Soul Blob Catching
Progress through the route that opens Misty Shores and meet Death. The following night, Death provides the Net. The same tool is also used for Critters, so a missing Net usually indicates story progression rather than a location problem.
How the Hunt Works
TheGamer reports that Soul Blobs are randomized when you enter an area rather than locked to a fixed season, time, or map coordinate, and that caught Souls do not repeat. That makes broad area cycling more useful than following a 100-pin route.
- Enter an area and scan for the colored floating Souls.
- Catch visible targets with the Net.
- Move to another area to refresh the search pool.
- Check your collection progress so you do not confuse Critters with Souls.
- Sleep after crossing a likely reward milestone; Death's follow-up occurs on a later night.
Reward-Threshold Conflict
| Source | First threshold reported | Later thresholds reported | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| TheGamer | 10 | 50 and 100 | Detailed, single publication |
| Eurogamer | 11 | Not used for a full milestone table | Independent play report |
| Neoseeker | 20 | 50 and 100 | Checklist guide, marked in progress |
| LadiesGamers | βa certain numberβ | Not specified | Confirms the Antique Clock effect, not the count |
TheGamer and Neoseeker also present reward tables differently. Until the milestones are reproduced on a named patch, we do not label either table definitive.
What the Antique Clock Changes
The Antique Clock unlocks longer-night options in Settings. LadiesGamers documents a 25-minute option from the first clock; later clocks are reported to extend the maximum further. If Death has visited but nothing seems different, check the setting manually rather than expecting time to slow automatically.
Completion
The collection total is consistently reported as 100. Neoseeker connects completion to the Skulls in a Net achievement. Keep the in-game collection counter as the final progress source.
