Moonlight Peaks Critter Locations — 95-Name Checklist

Quick answer:

• Collection size: The source-linked database contains 95 Critters, all with published location entries.
• Peeky: Harvest Googly Garlic on the Player Farm in Spring, Summer or Autumn. The source explicitly excludes the Greenhouse.
• Pumkrawler: The listed trigger is harvesting Pumpkins on the farm in Autumn, also outside the Greenhouse.
• Violet Duster: The current source supplies six regions and a Witch's Circle condition; it is no longer a location-blank entry.
• Evidence boundary: The community Critters table was re-read in Chrome on October 3, 2026. These are source checks, not independent gameplay tests or guaranteed spawn chances.

Use the Critter database for season and special-condition filters, then the Museum planner to track donations. Walking around a listed region is not enough for species tied to harvesting, digging or other actions.

How to Unlock the Net

The Net is not part of the starting tool set. Progress the main story until Brook's missing Crest is returned, Fiona clears the path to Misty Shores, and the Ambrosia Mansion / Dinner Party route begins.

Then use the two Death events:

1. enter Misty Shores and visit the Ambrosia Graveyard to trigger the introduction to Death;
2. sleep and continue into the following night;
3. return as the next Death/Soul Blob scene triggers through the Ambrosia area or town entry;
4. Death gives you the Net for Soul Blobs, and the same tool catches Critters.

TheGamer encountered this around Days 10–15, but that is a playthrough example, not a fixed date. Story progress and the two Death scenes are the dependable checks. Once unlocked, select the Net from the tool wheel, move within range, and use the normal tool action; missed swings still consume Energy in the documented release build.

Net event not triggering

A post-launch 42-tips playthrough adds a useful troubleshooting condition to the written guides: its first Death event triggered when entering Misty Shores on a clear night without rain. If the graveyard scene does not start after the path opens, return on the next clear night, then enter Misty Shores again rather than waiting at the farm. Continue into the following night and check the town route for the later scene that awards the Net.

This weather detail is a player-observed trigger, not an official fixed-date requirement. The story gates above still come first.

These lists match the source-linked database after the October 3 comparison with the community Critters table. A species appears in every listed region, but that does not guarantee a spawn in every season or after every qualifying action.

Source-checked Seasons and Special Spawns

The community Critters page now supplies season icons and special notes. The old launch-guide season subset is no longer used as the current hunting calendar. Select a species in the database to see the complete recorded seasons.

The October 3 source comparison corrected the stored seasons for Orange Petal, Petal Flap, White Bat and Skully. Those corrections flow into the English, German and Japanese databases; they are not a claim that each seasonal spawn was reproduced in-game.

Why is Peeky not appearing?

Check the crop, region and season together: the published condition is harvesting Googly Garlic, on the Player Farm, during Spring, Summer or Autumn. Harvesting unrelated crops, searching Town, or growing the plant in the Greenhouse does not match that entry.

Keep the Net ready around a qualifying harvest and check whether Peeky appears. The source does not publish a drop rate, a guaranteed harvest count or a fixed retry timer. A qualifying action is not a promise of a Critter every time.

Can Peeky or Pumkrawler spawn in the Greenhouse?

The source explicitly says they cannot spawn in the Greenhouse. The same exclusion is listed for Sprouty, Sourbug and Sweetbug. A building that lets crops grow out of season does not automatically override a Critter's location and generation restrictions.

Where should I look for Violet Duster?

The current record lists Howling Marshes, Misty Shores, Moonlit Pines, Moonlit Slopes, Town and Twilight Catacombs, with the condition after using a Witch's Circle. Are all special notes confirmed?

1. Start with the Player Farm: 29 current database records include it, but check their action and season requirements.
2. Sweep one region per night and record season plus weather before moving on.
3. Treat interiors as separate searches: Town Hall, Cave of Echoes, Crystal Cave, and Twilight Catacombs have exclusive entries.
4. Recheck Graveyard, Lost Moon Alcove, and Khazan Temple for their small exclusive groups.
5. Chase fast Critters toward corners or trees; a long chase can make the target disappear.
6. Keep one regular-quality specimen for the Museum before selling duplicates.
