Moonlight Peaks Critter Locations — 95-Name Checklist

The Museum Critter collection contains 95 names. The official database now publishes at least one location for 94 of the 95; only Violet Duster still has no location in that table. Use the region lists below to sweep one map at a time, then use the seasonal evidence for the harder entries.

How to Unlock the Net

The Net is not part of the starting tool set. Progress the main story until Brook's missing Crest is returned, Fiona clears the path to Misty Shores, and the Ambrosia Mansion / Dinner Party route begins.

Then use the two Death events:

enter Misty Shores and visit the Ambrosia Graveyard to trigger the introduction to Death;
sleep and continue into the following night;
return as the next Death/Soul Blob scene triggers through the Ambrosia area or town entry;
Death gives you the Net for Soul Blobs, and the same tool catches Critters.

TheGamer encountered this around Days 10–15, but that is a playthrough example, not a fixed date. Story progress and the two Death scenes are the dependable checks. Once unlocked, select the Net from the tool wheel, move within range, and use the normal tool action; missed swings still consume Energy in the documented release build.

Net event not triggering

A post-launch 42-tips playthrough adds a useful troubleshooting condition to the written guides: its first Death event triggered when entering Misty Shores on a clear night without rain. If the graveyard scene does not start after the path opens, return on the next clear night, then enter Misty Shores again rather than waiting at the farm. Continue into the following night and check the town route for the later scene that awards the Net.

This weather detail is a player-observed trigger, not an official fixed-date requirement. The story gates above still come first.

The season list is incomplete, and some location entries in early launch guides differ from the current official database. When they conflict, use the current region table for where to search and treat the older guide only as season evidence.

A Better Search Method

Start with the Player Farm: 24 of the current location entries include it.
Sweep one region per night and record season plus weather before moving on.
Treat interiors as separate searches: Town Hall, Cave of Echoes, Crystal Cave, and Twilight Catacombs have exclusive entries.
Recheck Graveyard, Lost Moon Alcove, and Khazan Temple for their small exclusive groups.
Chase fast Critters toward corners or trees; a long chase can make the target disappear.
Keep one regular-quality specimen for the Museum before selling duplicates.
