Moonlight Peaks Vampster Guide — 100-Vampster Search Route

There are 100 lost Vampsters to return to their den in the Cave of Echoes. Public location guides are still being expanded, so this guide focuses on the unlock, carry rules, complete area coverage, and a route that prevents repeated long trips.

Unlock the Den

Complete A Bridge Too Far, enter Misty Shores, and visit the Cave of Echoes in the southwest. The first visit introduces Alina and the den. IGN notes that you can see and pick up Vampsters earlier, but cannot register them until this route is open.

Return each Vampster to the small doorway inside the cave—not merely to the cave entrance.

Carry Rules That Waste the Most Time

You can carry one Vampster at a time.
Talking to a character while carrying one makes it jump down.
Putting it down or triggering some cutscenes also loses the carry.
A dropped Vampster returns to its original hiding place; it is not permanently lost.
Larry, the Vampster living with Alina, is not one of the lost animals to carry away.

100-Vampster Search Route

The route below is a coverage checklist, not a fabricated claim that every location has been independently mapped.

1. Cave of Echoes

Start with the cave itself. Published guides document five hiding spots inside, so clearing them first converts the shortest possible deliveries.

2. Misty Shores

Sweep the Moonlight Tower, Ambrosia Mansion rooms, shoreline, bridges, and campfire area. Deliver after each catch rather than crossing into another region.

3. Town — Outside and Every Interior

Town is the densest search zone. Check behind shops and houses, then enter Coffee & Coffins, The Broken Lamp, Howling Hammer, Webb of Wonders, character homes, and upstairs rooms. IGN's in-progress guide reports 53 Town Vampsters, which is a strong signal that interiors are not optional.

4. Moonlit Pines and Crystal Cave

Clear grass and visual clutter around paths, ponds, the pumpkin patch, firepit, Fiona's home, and Crystal Cave. Several public entries are hidden beside ordinary scenery rather than at landmarks.

5. Groovy Grove, Howling Marshes, and Khazan Temple

Search beaches, waterfall edges, crypts, broken bridges, mushroom rings, the Logan house, gnarled trees, and both sides of the temple.

6. Seasonal and Temporary Spaces

TheGamer documents Vampsters on the pier during the Lovage festival and at the Midnight Market. GameRant also identifies two spawns that only appear during Evernight, Autumn 26–28:

under the tree west of Coffee & Coffins, behind the pumpkin decoration;
in the southeast corner of the patio outside The Broken Lamp.

Return both to the Cave of Echoes during the festival. If they are missed, the next documented opportunity is Evernight in the following in-game year. See the Evernight three-night checklist.

Make Delivery Runs Safer

Finish nearby dialogue and quests before picking up the Vampster.
Clear vegetation before the carry, not during it.
Choose a direct Cave of Echoes route with no planned shop stops.
Use an area-by-area note so a returned runner is not mistaken for a new find.
Recheck interiors and event spaces when your total stalls.

Completion Evidence

The 100 total is repeated across launch coverage, and the achievement list names Back to the Den for returning every Vampster. We are not publishing a page titled “all 100 locations” until the public 100-pin set is complete and independently checked.
